War Chhod Na Yaar is India’s first war comedy movie directed and written by Faraz Haider, who has assisted Dibakar Banerjee on “Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!” as well as a German director in the past.
The film was announced on 30 March 2013[1] with a launch party at Novotel Hotel in the presence of the lead actors, Sharman Joshi, Soha Ali Khan, and Jaaved Jaafer. Sanjai Mishra, Dalip Tahil and Mukul Dev who play important characters in the film.
The treatment of the humor in War Chhod Na Yaar has many layers; mostly situational, sometimes spoofy, sometimes slapstick, sometimes tongue-in-cheek, and sometimes even over-the-top.
The movie is produced by AOPL Entertainment Pvt Ltd, which has successfully completed 4 movies in Malayalam and is now entering Bollywood with War Chhod Na Yaar. Film production is an involved process for AOPL Entertainment, from the development of a story idea to commissioning the writing of a cutting-edge script, and further to filming, editing and delivering a finished product.
The movie is releasing on 11 October 2013.
